Blades doc honoured at local University

Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatoon Blades are proud to learn team physician, Dr. Cyprian Enweani, has been inducted into the University of Saskatchewan Athletic Wall fo Fame.

Dr. Enweani has been with the Blades as the team doctor for over two decades. Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Enweani was an accomplished athlete. From 1982-1988 Enweani was a member of the U of S Huskies Track & Field Team, winning nine Canada West medals, three national medals and the Canada West and national team title in 1986-87.

During his time with the Huskies, “Cyp” competed nine times with the Canadian national team including three times in the FISU World University Games and was honoured as the flag bearer in 1987. He broke three Canada West records – with the 300-metres still standing 33 years later.

Dr. Enweani remains an integral part of the Blades medical staff, ensuring the players receive nothing but the best treatment to excel athletically.
