The Blades trailed 4-1 at one point in time before putting together an impressive rally.  Defenseman John Flatters scored the Blades first goal at the 13:00 minute mark of the 1st period to tie the game at 1 after former Prince Albert Raider Ryan DePape (PP) started the games scoring at the 10:10 point of the opening frame.

The Pats then pulled away with 3 unanswered goals with Garrett Mitchell, Kirt Hill, and Jordan Eberle (PP) all putting pucks past Blades goaltender Braden Holtby.  Saskatoon would then respond with 3 unanswered goals of their own thanks to Stefan Elliott's (PP) 8th of the season, Darian Dziurzynski's first career Western Hockey League goal, and Ondrej Fiala's 9th of the year with just 2:26 remaining in the game.

Overtime, however, would not last long as Scott Doucet put the game away just 1:52 into the extra frame, making the final score 5-4.

Derek Hulak was in on 3 of the Blades 4 goals in the game, all assists, while Colton Gillies picked up 2 assists of his own, giving him 4 points in his last 2 games (2G; 2A).

Holtby played the entire game between the pipes for the Blades, recording 19 saves on 24 Regina shots while backup Jeff Bosch stopped 29 of 33 Saskatoon shots in the game.
