THE SUMMARY

Prince Albert scored the first three goals of the hockey game; one at even strength, one on the power play, and one short-handed.

20-year-old Sean Montgomery (29) got things started midway through the first period with an even strength marker. Then fellow overage forward Noah Gregor (42) double the Raiders’ lead on the power play less than three minutes later.

Gregor increased the lead to 3-0 with his second of the night and third goal of the weekend while short-handed late in the second period.

Two of the Blades 20-year-olds teamed up for Saskatoon’s only tally of the night. Max Gerlach (42) found the back of the net after a scramble in front of the Prince Albert goal. Dawson Davidson had the only assist on the play.

The penalty filled affair saw the Blades charged with nine minors in the game; their penalty kill held strong killing off 7/8 Raiders power plays. However, the Blades went 0/6 on the man advantage.

Dorrin Luding was charged with the loss in goal for Saskatoon despite a strong performance of 29 saves. Ian Scott made 24 saves for the Raiders in his 38th win of the season.

One area the Blades did beat the Raiders was in the face-off circle, winning 34/63 draws.
