Catching up with Chris Collins…

We caught up with 19-year-old centre Chris Collins to find out how his summer is going and how he will look forward after last season’s early playoff exit.

Over the summer Chris has been making the most of his days off by going on big family vacations to both Hawaii and Halifax. His regular summer routine has consisted of 10 a.m. workouts, then his favourite summer activity—going to the community lake to swim and fish, after which it’s ice time at 5 pm before heading back out to the lake!

On the early exit from playoffs…

“I was more shocked than anything at first, but now that it’s had some time to sink I know that that’s not a feeling I ever want again moving forward.”

How he’s preparing for the 11-12 season…

“Working out daily, getting on the ice almost daily and shooting pucks off the ice.“

What he’s most looking forward to this season…

“Playing hockey everyday and winning again.”

Goals for the upcoming season…

“To help the team win the league again and ultimately the Memorial Cup.”
