Maier starts as Canada faces USA in Hlinka Gretzky semi-final

Nolan Maier has gotten the nod for Team Canada’s semi-final matchup against the United States tonight.

Through two starts in the preliminary round, Maier picked up two wins, a .917SV% and a 1.50GAA. Maier will face off against fellow WHL netminder, Dustin Wolf, who plays for the Everett Silvertips.

Kirby Dach will look to continue his production on Canada’s top line after scoring 1 goal and 3 assists in the preliminary round.

Game time is 7:00pm and will be broadcast live on TSN.

The winner of Canada and the USA will face Sweden at 7:00pm Saturday night for Gold. The loser will face Russia at 3:00pm for Bronze.
