Naomi Lendvay returns for Stick It to Cancer Night
Saskatoon Hero Naomi Lendvay, pictured above in 2016, will return to the Sasktel Centre on Saturday the 28th of October, 2017 to once again drop the puck in a pre-game ceremony. The first 2000 fans in attendance will receive a FREE medium pizza coupon to be used at RedZone Premium Sports Bar at the top of Circle Drive
Diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma in 2015, Naomi previously dropped the puck during a pre-game ceremony in 2016 on the 2nd of February, as MD Ambulance and the Saskatoon Blades teamed up to fight paediatric cancer.
Now, almost two years later and having won her battle against Cancer, Naomi will be the special guest of the Blades’ Stick It to Cancer night as they aim to raise money in the continued fight against cancer.
The Saskatoon Blades will be playing host to the Brandon Wheat Kings using CCM Pro Tacks Rose Gold sticks. The game used sticks will be available through a silent auction during the game. Proceeds from the sticks will go toward local cancer charities.
Furthermore, a post game “Chuck a puck” competition will be played with funds raised going to Cops for Cancer. Pucks are $2 each of 3 pucks for $5.
The Blades’ game day store, the Frozen Pond, will also be selling pacman socks with $5 from each sock purchase on the night going toward Cops for Cancer too.
