Blades Fall to Wheat Kings

Walker Wintoneak scored the Blades first goal of the season at the 12:13 mark of the third period while overage forward Chris Durand added his first of the year with just 18 seconds left in the game on the power play.  The Blades finished the night 1 for 8 on the man advantage while their penalty killing units stopped 7 of Brandon's 9 power plays.  For the Wheat Kings it was Daniel Bartek who led the way with 2 goals and 1 assists en route to being named the games first star."


These two will renew their rivalry tomorrow night in Saskatoon for the Blades home opener.  Puck drop goes at 7:05 while the doors open at 5:30pm.  Kids be sure to be in attendance early to check out the all new Mac's Kids Zone!
