Blades ready for rematch with Warriors

“We’re not looking ahead to the BC trip yet. We still play Moose Jaw, and they’re a good team”.

That was what Head Coach and General Manager Bob Woods was stressing after the Blades lost an excrutiatingly close game to Brandon Friday night in Saskatoon. The Blades are getting ready for a huge five-games-in-eight-days road trip in BC, but first, they must travel to Moose Jaw and take on the Warriors, who beat them Wednesday night in Saskatoon.

“Its a big game for sure, they beat us in our rink, now we want revenge” added Isaac Schacher. “We can’t be looking ahead past this game, you do that, you’re in big trouble”.

The Blades have been hot as of late – while they lost a tight one to Moose Jaw, they defeated the first place Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday, and earned another point with an overtime loss to Brandon on Friday night.

“Even with the loss, there were a lot of positives we can take out of it” said Woods. “Guys played hard, we’ve been scoring more goals, which is nice, and we’re working as a team”.

After the game against the Warriors the Blades will depart for Kamloops Sunday, the first stop in a five game schedule against every BC team.
