Blades Win on Road

Durand led the charge for the Blades, scoring his 5th and 6 goals of the season, both times while on the power play.  Travis Toomey (PP) and Kirk Belyk also scored for the Blades.  The Tigers received their 3 goals from Wacey Hamilton, Linden Vey, and Brennan Bosch.


Saskatoon received a strong performance in goal by 18 year old netminder Braden Holtby.  Holtby made 33 saves on 36 Medicine Hat shots to pick up his 5th win of the season.  Ryan Holfeld allowed 4 goals on 21 Saskatoon shots in the game.


The Blades special teams were a big key to the victory as they tallied 3 power play goals on 7 opportunities while successfully killing off all of Medicine Hat's 8 power plays.
