GAME DAY CENTRAL; Blades ready for Oil Kings

The Blades are prepared for one of their toughest matchups of the year – a road game against the defending champs, the Oil Kings.

Starting in net for the team is Trevor Martin, fresh off his first WHL win.

“Its nice to get the monkey off my back. Now I’ve proven I can do this, and I want to continue to prove I’m a goalie that can help us win, that the team can trust”.

Its a big game for Martin – he hails from Androssan Alberta, near Edmonton, and should have plenty of family and friends in the stands.

“It’ll be nice to play in front of them. Hopefully I do well, earn us a win. Playing back at home, against a team I grew up watching, in a rink like Rexall, its just awesome, and I’m really looking forward to it”.

The Blades than travel to Red Deer to take on the Rebels on Saturday, before finishing the three game road trip in Calgary on Sunday.
