The community of Saskatoon has always been an integral part of the Saskatoon Blades organization. We understand that without the support and strength of the community, the Blades would not be a successful organization. This is why we are starting a new program called the Community First Initiative and giving you the first chance to benefit from this special program.
The initiative would revolve around the idea that many children and families in Saskatoon and area are unable to attend Blades games due to a wide-variety of obstacles. We are looking to get many of these families out to games through this program – with the help of a corporate sponsor, tickets would be sponsored and given to community groups that would then distribute them to families that show a special interest in sports and physical activity. We would be targeting specific families that would not have otherwise had an opportunity to make it to a Blades game.
The Community First Initiative would include the following:
- 10 tickets to each of the 36 Blades home games that will be donated to a community group
- Recognition in a program advertisement in each game day program
- Mention on the Saskatoon Blades website as a proud sponsor of the Initiative
- Included on a mention on the big screen during each Blades game
