Stantec Shootout 4 Charity

stantect shoout board

The Stantec #Shootout4Charity is an exciting platform for leaders in the community to raise awareness and funds for the charities they support. 16 community leaders will participate in an old-fashioned shootout, each representing a charity of their choice. They will go one-on-one during intermissions of Blades home games in a tournament style bracket beginning at the home opener on Saturday, September 22nd, with the final match and winner being crowned on December 27th when the Blades play host to the Prince Albert Raiders.

“Community is a huge pillar in our organization, and while we work towards building a champion on the ice, we feel a responsibility off the ice,” stated Blades President Steve Hogle. “We play an incredibly popular sport and we’re humbled by the popularity of our brand, and we believe that comes not only with a responsibility but an opportunity to leverage our platform for the greater good of our community.”

The winner will receive $3000 for their charity, the runner-up will receive $1500, and the third place finisher will be awarded $500. There will also be a social media contest where contestants will create videos in support of their charities with two prizes of $500. The funds are being provided by Stantec Inc. Canadian Tire has kindly stepped forward with prizes for all of the shootout participants, as well as prizes from the Saskatoon Blades.
