Blades announce 2022-23 regular season home schedule

SASKATOON, SK — The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to announce the highly-awaited 34-game home schedule for the 2022-23 regular season.

Hockey returns to Blade City on Saturday, September 24th, when the Blades host the Prince Albert Raiders at SaskTel Centre to open the 2022-23 regular season. This will be Saskatoon’s first regular season game against the Raiders since they last battled on April 8th. It was a thrilling matchup at SaskTel Centre which resulted in a 2-0 victory over the Raiders, along with Nolan Maier setting the all-time win record in the WHL.

Saskatoon, who’s coming off a 38-26-3-1 record in the 2021-22 season, will play 16 games in the first half of the season followed by 18 games in the second half.  The team’s longest home-stretch is five-games long, beginning on November 12th before wrapping up on November 26th against the Winnipeg ICE.

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (0), Tuesday (6), Wednesday (5), Thursday (0), Friday (8), Saturday (9), Sunday (6). Saskatoon will play in five back-to-back scenarios at home this season.

This season’s home schedule will also bring each team from the U.S. Division into Saskatoon once throughout the regular season.

Home games Monday – Saturday will all begin at 7:00 p.m., with doors to SaskTel Centre opening one hour before puck drop. Sunday home games will start at 4:00 p.m.
