The Blades welcome their Highway 11 rivals, the Prince Albert Raiders to the Sasktel Centre. Saskatoon is riding a three-game winning streak, scoring 20 goals over that stretch, and need to maintain this hot streak as they sit eight points back of the Raiders for first place in the East Division. Prince Albert comes to Saskatoon having won eight of the last 10, and have won four consecutive games.

Head to head…

The Blades hold a sizeable advantage over Prince Albert head to head, donning a 5-1-0-0 record against the reigning league champions. Saskatoon has outscored the Raiders 18-10 in the season series, with two of their victories coming in overtime. These two foes will see each other a lot over the final stretch, with four of the Blades final 11 games coming against the Raiders.

Who to watch…

Forward Tristen Robins has goals in three straight games, collecting seven points (3G, 4A) over that stretch. Defenceman Aidan De La Gorgendiere is the reigning WHL Player of the Week, having collected six points (1G, 5A) over the last two games. Overage veteran Scott Walford leads the team in scoring vs. the Raiders with eight points (3G, 5P) in six games. Hometown boy Alex Morozoff is riding a three-game goal-scoring streak; the longest in his career.

The playoff picture…

The Blades currently sit fourth in the East Division, and hold the second and final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The magic number for the Blades to clinch a spot is ‘5’, which means any added points gained by the Blades, or points lost by Red Deer, who sit in the 3rd wild-card position, would cause that number to shrink. The boys are putting more focus on reaching top spot in the East Division, sitting eight points back of the Raiders who lead the way. Saskatoon also holds a game in hand over Winnipeg, who sit 3rd in the division, four points up on the Blades.

Need to know…

It’s Chase Wouters Bobblehead Night presented by BHP! Fans will receive one of two coloured cards upon entry. During the 1st intermission, one card will be drawn and those with the winning card in hand will be able to redeem their card for a Chase Wouters bobblehead. Supplies are limited, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they receive a card. All season members will be guaranteed a bobblehead.
